Patrick Henry was born in May 29 1736, in Virginia. He was governor a Virginia several times. He is a very important figure in the American Revolution, he is knoen for his famous phrase "Give me liberty, or give me death!". He is considered one of the Founding Fathers of the United States.

When Patrick Henry was elected to be part of the House of Burgesses, he introduced the Virginia Stamp Act Resolutions. The proposals were based on principles established by the British rights, usch as tax their own representatives.

He is also known for the speech he made in House of Burgesses, in  Saint John's Church, Virginia. This is what he said:
"Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, Give me liberty or give me death!".
